The brand which we served is a leading car manufacturer based out of India. Their manufacturing facility serves both national and international markets. Due to the demand pressures, the HR department along with other departments of the company was under great pressure. The brand was getting huge orders from the national and international clients. The issue, however, was not with the meeting the domestic demands. Problems arose with the international orders. The existing workforce of the company was ill-trained to handle the quality and other engineering specifications of the international markets.

This was the issue which had two-fold ramifications. Firstly the company was booking losses as production quality was not as per the expectations of the international markets. Secondly, it was becoming a matter of brand’s international prestige.

The client approached us with this issue. There were some very specific and specialized skills sets that the brand required. Up-Skilling was not an option, as that would mean diverting the current workforce for training which would ultimately lead to disrupted productivity.

So as a solution we conducted an intensive study of the skills that the client requires. Of course, it was clients call in a major way as they were the one who would conduct the training.

Since the skills sets were peculiar we had to hunt for the relevant trainees and that too in the shortest time possible. We could not just pick people off the market and serve it to our client. The trainees, in this case, had to be intelligent and have some background in this sector. Within a span of a week, we provided the client with 1000 trainees, with full formalities completed. These trainees were filtered as per the client’s requirement. In a span of 2 weeks, the training program took off.

The client after 2 months was back on track and witnessed a productivity boost of 40% for the international markets. Also, his reputation as a quality producer was again re-enforced in the hearts of his customers.
